Caramelised Banana Oats

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup oats⁠

  • 2 cups almond milk⁠

  • 1/4 tsp sea salt⁠

  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger⁠

  • 1-2 tbsp honey/maple syrup + more to drizzle on top⁠ ⁠

Caramelised Bananas

  • 1 Tbsp G H E E ⁠

  • 2 bananas, sliced⁠

  • 1 tsp coconut sugar⁠

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon⁠

Directions

1. Combine oats, salt, ginger and milk in a medium pot over medium heat.⁠

⁠2. Bring to a gentle simmer, stirring continuously, for about 5-10 minutes until its thick and creamy.⁠

⁠3. Add the ghee to a pan over medium heat, once melted, add the bananas. ⁠

⁠4. Sprinkle over the coconut sugar and cinnamon. ⁠

⁠5. Cook the bananas on one side for about 2 minutes, then flip over and cook on the other side for another 2-3 minutes, until they have caramelised.⁠

6. Serve the porridge immediately in bowls, top with some runny nut butter, add the bananas, then sprinkle over a little coconut sugar and cinnamon and drizzle over a little honey.⁠
